Hi! My name is Laura Penkava, and I’m the LP behind Color. by LP.

I first stumbled upon a water-marbled print a few years ago and was immediately drawn to it. After ordering far too many books, taking online classes, and spending countless hours experimenting through trial and error, I can confidently say I’m completely hooked.

Marbling has become such a fun creative outlet for me. There’s nothing I love more than disappearing into my "studio" (aka my laundry room - it's tight), turning on some tunes, and letting the process unfold. I love the way the paint floats effortlessly across the surface — carefree and fluid.  Each print and design is entirely unique, and even in their imperfections, every piece feels perfectly itself.

I marble silk scarves, paper, and ceramics, creating one-of-a-kind pieces meant to be worn, used, and enjoyed.

My husband and I live in Birmingham, Alabama, with our three rowdy boys, who keep life loud, inappropriate, and lots of fun.
